Once a Teacher has the Spiritual Mantle they keep the siddhi powers like clairaudience, astral travelling etc. until they die but not their ability to Enlighten at will, but We think you have realised that.

As he gets more frail he will soften towards you and realise your focus has always been on Spirituality and not blame you so much for your actions – which are pure of heart.
