When people are keen to be Initiated but have little meditation experience should we err on the side of preparation for Initiation?
If people see very little Light and struggle with the Sound, is it a bad thing?
Can such people, if they Meditate with intent, like (T) turn things around later in their lives – say three years later?

The answers to these questions are many and varied. But We realize you are looking for a guideline.

Generally it must be said that people, if possible, should have had preparation, simply because they need to have developed good Meditation habits. Also it’s very helpful to have a group that people can join, as there will be many questions.

Sometimes, however this is not possible and then of course they should be Initiated without so much preparation. But be aware that there is far more likelihood that they will stop Meditating without regular input, preferably personal.

Yes, it is a bad thing if they struggle because it means they probably won’t continue Meditating unless there is a strong group to keep them focused.

They could start Meditating again a few years later, but there would have to be a strong reason to do so. If people do struggle when they receive the Light and Sound, then most likely it would mean that their family and friends won’t be interested.

These are only guidelines, there will be many exceptions, and many people who get Initiated and go through to Enlightenment with minimal preparation.
