What a person perceives on Initiation depends on many things. It can be to do with the pressure of the touch and the positioning of the hands. When the focus is that the Initiation could be subtle, that has an effect too.

There needs to be neutrality from the Initiator.

As you have found – when people have tried many Meditation practices there is confusion. Each Initiation is perfect in its own way and each person gets what they are destined for.

Be relaxed about who Initiates and what happens. It may soon be immaterial anyway when people start Seeing the Light spontaneously.
