You both don’t realise how far you have come in your lives – particularly (N). It is wonderful for me to see my former pupil to have been able to forge ahead in sometimes very difficult circumstances to be where you are now.

But you see, this has its drawbacks – every positive has a negative. How can it possibly be, you say, that people can’t just open their mouths about the Path? People are worried about their image and never want to appear stupid or crazy or weird! Life is sonetimes/often hard enough anyway without adding that to the mix.

Remember when you kept losing all your friends in doing what you believed in – even in those days you were fearless. People do, or don’t do things out of fear or guilt, usually both. It’s that simple (N) – don’t try and complicate it. When people meet up there is so much to talk about – worldly things like the war, the price of petrol or what their kids are up to – no time/ space in their lives for anything else.

Their salvation, God, the Universe – who wants to talk about that?
